Characterization of the molecular pathobiology of bacterial fish pathogens,
especially Edwardsiella ictaluri and Flavobacterium columnare;
identification of virulence factors and vaccine candidates for E. ictaluri and
F. columnare; determine the molecular epidemiology of E. ictaluri and
F. columnare isolates cultured from across the Delta over a number of years;
develop real-time PCR diagnostics for fish pathogens. |
